Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HomeVault ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HomeVault is a home management application that helps you track warranties, schedule maintenance, and store contractor contacts. The Service is provided on a freemium basis with optional paid subscriptions for additional features.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Free Plan Limits

The free plan includes up to 10 warranties, 5 maintenance tasks, and 5 contractor contacts. These limits may change with notice. Upgrading to Pro removes all item limits and unlocks additional features.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into HomeVault. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass subscription limits or security measures
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service

8. Limitation of Liability

HomeVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed warranty claims, maintenance deadlines, or data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
